A recent Citi Analyst report indicates that as much as 5 to 8 percent of Amazon’s annual sales are being generated from mobile devices.
Citi Analyst Neil Doshi estimated that Amazon generates $3 billion to $5 billion in mobile sales, and Amazon’s 2012 revenue forecast predicts that the company’s total net sales will total around $60 billion.
Doshi called his estimate “conservative,” noting that as much as 10 percent of Amazon’s transactions could come via mobile, and notes that mobile is a growing trend among companies such as Google and Walgreens, as All Things D notes.
