MasterCard Taps VocaLink Alum to Lead U.K., Ireland Operations
MasterCard has tapped former VocaLink chief executive Marion King as president of the company’s U.K. and Ireland business, according to a report by Finextra.

King’s initiative will be focused on developing emerging trends in payment technologies, such as mobile and contactless payments.
“I’m excited to be joining MasterCard to lead a key market at a time when our industry faces both great opportunities and great challenges,” said King. “I’m looking forward to working with the talented team in the U.K. to build on their achievements and to deliver the next generation of safe, simple and smart payments that make life easier for consumers.”
King replaces Hany Fam, who will now head up European marketing development and strategic partnerships for the company.
