Xealth Secures $24M in Funding to Expand Digital Health Offering

Xealth, which works to enable digital health at scale, has announced a Series B funding round with $24 million, a press release says.

The funding will go toward adding to the team by doubling the number of employees, and it will also go toward more product innovations, boosting the intelligence engine to better help health systems look into which tools work best with which patients.

“Digital health use is accelerating and can be a key driver of growth for hospital systems,” said Mike McSherry, CEO and co-founder of Xealth. “The support from leading health systems, including Advocate Aurora, as well as The Health Management Academy, validates our approach to incorporating digital health in ways that empower both providers and patients and will elevate our growth, taking our technology vision to the next level and creating a personalized care experience that deepens the connection between patients and clinical care teams.”

The release notes that the use of digital therapeutics and remote patient monitoring has increased, as patients need new and more diverse care options, especially with the pandemic.

The release quotes a Juniper Research study predicting that the number of people using digital health related apps will explode from 627 million last year to over 1.4 billion by 2025.

Xealth’s platform can help integrate electronic health records and add digital solution ordering to make the patient’s experience better.

The round was partially initiated by The Health Management Academy, which tries to unite health partners and industry professionals. Matt Gunther of the academy said health systems “recognize the need to simplify the experience for physicians and streamline the process of integrating data.”
