Cyber Monday got an infusion of tech-savvy innovation this year, as Mashable and Visa partnered to launch the Mashable Shop.

Mashable is a tech community giant, with a savvy online presence and readership that is highly engaged with its content. With 45 million monthly unique visitors and 26 million followers across social media, Mashable is a titan in the tech-media space. This foray into online retail is just the latest step in furthering the company’s mission of informing, inspiring and entertaining the digital generation.

Mashable issued a press release earlier this week announcing the partnership, the shop and detailing exactly what the digital “power couple” had in store for consumers. “As a brand,” commented Stacy Martinet, chief marketing officer at Mashable, in the release,“Mashable is about creating new and interesting ways to bring the best of digital culture to our community, and the Mashable Shop is a great opportunity to do just that.”

The Mashable Shop offers apparel and accessories, a carefully curated selection of tech-focused products, including those from crowdfunded businesses previously featured on the site, and an assortment of items from Williams-Sonoma, one of Visa’s flagship Visa Checkout merchants. Items currently for sale in the shop include: “The World’s Best Travel Jacket” by BauxBax; Gramovox’s Floating Record; Master & Dynamic’s “Over Ear Headphones;” The world’s first 3D printing pen — the 3Doodler; and Williams-Sonoma’s “The Smoking Gun.”

Sam Shrauger, senior vice president of digital solutions for Visa, notes in the release: “Not only are we offering Mashable readers a fast, easy way to shop and pay for gifts they love, the shop gives Visa’s merchant partners a new digital platform to showcase great holiday gifts this season.”

The Mashable Shop serves as just the latest innovation for the media outlet, which has a reputation for being an innovator, providing interactive experiences around its content and brand. With the Mashable Shop, as the company states in the press release, Mashable is aiming to bring the best of tech and digital culture to its community through one-of-a-kind products that embody its DNA.
