Consumers today enjoy the ability to buy products online at a fast pace, often through a buy button. The technology lets shoppers go straight to checkout from an advertisement or social media post of a product they want. Online retail platforms like Pinterest, Twitter, Google and Facebook support buy buttons. So why shouldn’t B2B procurement officials get them, too?
A new collaboration between CloudCraze and Salesforce wants to bring that same ease of eCommerce to the world of B2B.
Reports Tuesday (Sept. 1) said the eCommerce-as-a-Service company, which integrates into Salesforce, will now launch buy button technology for companies using Salesforce’s Community Cloud. The button allows companies to offer nearly instant purchasing directly on their website or online store.
“The buy button provides customers the opportunity to bring multiple solutions together under one roof in today’s fractured eCommerce industry,” the companies said in their announcement, adding that CloudCraze’s new service is part of its broader goal of introducing more robust B2B online shopping capabilities.
“In-context commerce is an exciting opportunity for Community Cloud and represents a new frontier for customer engagement,” said Salesforce Executive Vice President of Community Cloud Nasi Jazayeri. “The commerce space is rapidly evolving, and we’re excited to be the first enterprise solution to offer these capabilities with help from experienced partners in the space, such as CloudCraze.”
The firms said that CloudCraze’s services, built on the Salesforce1 Platform, can lead companies to implement an online commerce solution up to four times faster than non-cloud services, for as low as one-fifth the cost.
CloudCraze was recently chosen by analysts at Forrester Research as one of the market’s leading B2B eCommerce solutions available today. The company announced its rankings last July, noting that CloudCraze was chosen because of its native Salesforce application.
