Achilles, Orpheus Team On Supply Chain Cyber Risk Management

Achilles Information, which works in supply chain risk and performance management, will work with Orpheus on cyber risk management, according to a press release.

Orpheus is a U.K. government-accredited cyber threat intelligence company, the release stated. Via the partnership, the two companies will provide cyber risk assessments on suppliers. Those will be shared with the buyer and supplier members of Achilles networks.

Suppliers can subscribe to Orpheus’ monthly cyber risk reports, and they can reduce their risk rating by addressing the issues on their networks, according to the release. Achilles consumers will receive preferential subscription rates.

In addition, buyers will have the option of getting a customized supply chain cyber risk assessment for their supply chain, which will offer insights on the threats and risks they might be exposed to, the release stated.

The pandemic has seen a boost in cyber threats, as fraudsters have attempted to capitalize on the pandemic’s confusion and chaos, particularly as corporates moved to work-from-home models that offered easier ways for them to keep the virus at bay.

PYMNTS reported that supply chain risk is important for corporates to consider. Farida Ali, CEO and president of Dynamic Computer Corporation, said some risk factors can include organizations relying too much on just one supplier, and a tendency to build too much of the same product.

Achilles Chief Product Officer Katie Tamblin said in the release that cyberattacks “demonstrate that the cybersecurity of even the biggest buyer is only as strong as their weakest supplier in their supply chain.”

“We know that this is a complex, constantly changing landscape that our customers need real-time, accurate and robust advice on, and so we’ve partnered with Orpheus, the only provider of cyber risk ratings with U.K. Government accreditation,” she said in the release. “We know that ongoing monitoring is critical to effective cybersecurity. These cyber risk ratings provided on the Achilles’ platform will enable our customers to be confident they are making decisions based on the best, market-leading intelligence. I’m looking forward to working with the team at Orpheus and seeing the considerable value they can bring to customers.”
