Electronic Transactions Association Show (ETA) ViVOtech Booth #424 — Silicon Valley-based ViVOtech, the leader in Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payments, loyalty and marketing applications and contactless readers, today announced the launch of its new PCI 2.1-certified, ViVOpay 8100 next-generation customer-facing device enabled with contactless NFC payment and promotion technology for small and medium-size merchants. The ViVOpay 8100 enables small and medium-size merchants to accept mag-stripe, contactless and NFC mobile payments, as well as deliver personalized mobile loyalty and marketing programs to their customers.
“The widespread use of mobile smart phones and contactless NFC technologies by consumers is changing how they expect to shop and pay,” said Mohammad Khan, president and founder of ViVOtech. “The ViVOpay 8100 device, powered by ViVOtech mLoyalty server software, allows ISOs and Acquirers to generate new revenue streams by enabling merchants to offer real-time and highly effective loyalty and personalized coupons to their customers using their existing phones.”

With the ViVOpay 8100, consumers can simply tap their mobile phone to electronically redeem a coupon or discount voucher, swipe or tap to make a payment or enter their PIN for debit payments to complete a transaction. ViVOtech’s mLoyalty software allows ISOs and acquirers to offer merchants the ability to deliver personalized coupons and offers to their customers’ existing mobile phones, driving more traffic to their stores and creating up-sell opportunities.
All ViVOpay 8000 series products are PCI 2.1 certified for highly secured PIN entry of debit card transactions using an ADA-compliant keypad and optional signature capture for other payment card transactions. Equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM9 processor, Linux operating system, integrated contactless NFC and mag-stripe readers and high-capacity memory, the new devices allow merchants to future-proof their investment for the next generation of customer-facing devices that will grow over time, driven by an increasingly mobile smart phone consumer base.
