Aptys Solutions Featured in Mercator Advisory Group Report

Aptys Solutions, a payments network provider for financial institutions nationwide, was featured in a recent Mercator Advisory Group report entitled “Payment Hubs: Shrinking the Elephant.”

According to Mercator Advisory Group, the report looks at why the time might be right for financial institutions to consider payment hub strategies in the United States, see how they are or might be applied to retail payment strategies and the importance of enterprise-level payment processing strategies in the current financial services market.

“Even though we would argue that the time has never been better for the financial institution market to consider centralizing their payment functions or at the very least, implementing data repositories that allow payment information to be normalized, the near term ability for the U.S. banking industry to invest in these solutions on a broad scale is most likely being sidelined by the unrelenting changes being forced on the industry by regulators as well as the weakened state of the economy,” said Patricia Hewitt, director of Mercator Advisory Group’s Debit Advisory Service.

“Aptys Solutions is grateful to be listed among such distinguished industry titans,” said Sean Pennock, president of Aptys Solutions. “As financial institutions continue to face changing industry regulations, Aptys Solutions offers correspondent banks, community banks and credit unions the ability to consolidate payment processing and image capture across their enterprise. By providing a single platform to process all payment types, we are creating a pathway to future payments for financial institutions.”
