PYMNTS.com asked industry expert and author of Paying with Plastic, David S. Evans to profile industry thought leaders and executives to find out what's next in the world of payments.
In this edition of the PYMNTS.com CEO Series, David sat down with the Founder and CEO of InstaMed, Bill Marvin. Bill has been driving innovation in the healthcare payments business since he founded InstaMed in 2004. They have grown to be the leading healthcare payments network bringing the capabilities of a clearing house and payment processor to the healthcare industry.
What will the future bring for healthcare payments? Bill believes de-emphasizing technology will be the driver of change and that focusing on integration, forming networks, and connecting systems will improve inefficiencies. Listen to Bill's interview to hear What's Next for InstaMed.
Executive Bio: Before founding InstaMed, Bill was an executive in Accenture’s Health and Life Sciences practice. Bill worked with senior executives at clients such as UnitedHealth Group, U.S. Dept of Treasury, WellPoint Health Networks and other large blues plans where he developed strategies and led projects in the areas of transaction processing, web-portals, provider adoption and medical management. Bill was also the founder and CEO of CareWide, which developed Microsoft-based software for managing provider offices and was acquired by Amicore, a joint venture of Microsoft and Pfizer, and now is a part of Misys. Bill graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and was a member of the varsity squash team. Bill has been involved as a member and active board member with several not-for-profit organizations.
