eWise, a payments and online financial management solutions provider, today announced a call for executive nominations to the Secure Vault Payments® Marketing Advisory Council with support and participation from NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association. Secure Vault Payments is an alternative payment option that offers convenience and security for consumers, allows institutions to receive money faster, and helps keep costly and wasteful paper out of the system.
“Secure Vault Payments continues to grow in its size and penetration,” said Jan Estep, president and CEO, NACHA. “As participation expands, user experiences will be critical to informing future needs. The expertise the council members bring to the table will help guide market development for Secure Vault Payments.”
A formalized organization, the Secure Vault Payments Marketing Advisory Council, will work to share industry insights and experience to maximize awareness for Secure Vault Payments and ensure the effectiveness of the payment type. Those selected from the nominations will become the founding members of the Council, which will be comprised of up to 20 members representing financial institutions, merchants, billers and gateway service companies. Through regular meetings and communication, the Council will be relied upon to play a critical role in defining direction and priorities to drive adoption.
“It is vital to the success of the network that we continue to collaborate with industry experts to raise awareness and help define the position of alternative payment types like Secure Vault Payments,” said Alex Grinberg, CEO, eWise. “We are looking forward to working with a broader group to make the significant push that is necessary to bring new value to the entire payment process.”
In this, the founding year of the Council, senior leadership from eWise will assess candidates. All Council members are expected to be seated no later than April 15, 2011 and are expected to serve for an annual term. For more information or to complete a nomination form, visit www.ewise.com.
