It’s probably not much of a reassurance to developers that have to ride along with the tremors of an unstable retail market, but as long as there are merchants around to sell, they’ll need companies like Ingenico to make the sales happen. That’s exactly what they’re hoping for well into the future of eCommerce.
Ingenico has officially launched its Ingenico Connect online commerce suite for sale to the general public. The software is an all-in-one platform for merchants to get up and running quickly, and Ingenico is also offering a developer hub complete with access to APIs, SDKs, and more for the ambitious coders out there. Ingenico Connect joins the company’s wider family of POS devices, along with their growing family of add-on services.
The announcement comes at a critical time for Ingenico, as the company gears up its payments support services to power pop-up shops at this year’s European Football Championship in 10 cities across France. Fifty different merchants will work with Ingenico for on-the-spot sales as well as the occasional cross-over shopper who ends on Ingenico-supported online channels.
Ian Benn, managing director for Northern Europe at Ingenico, stated that alongside Bleep, its partner during the Euros, it will be able to personalize services to each merchant for the perfect transaction that gets fans and merchants back in the game.
