China-based online search provider Baidu has purchased a majority stake in popular group buying site Nuomi, All Things D reported on August 25.
Baidu paid $160 million for a 59 percent stake in the company. The media outlet noted that Nuomi has 3.8 million active users, and that 30 percent of its sales are made through mobile devices.
