Aluminum can sleeving startup Wildpack Beverage is now accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as optional forms of payment for customers of its beverage manufacturing and co-packing services, according to a Tuesday (Oct. 13) press release.
Wildpack is integrating a digital wallet into its invoicing platform so its clients can securely pay for their orders using cryptocurrencies, the release stated.

“Bitcoin and cryptocurrency use cases continue to grow, and their acceptability as form of payment is here to stay,” Wildpack CEO Mitch Barnard said in the release. “With instant transaction verification, reduction of transaction fees and Wildpack’s commitment to market leading innovation, now is the time for us to take this step forward.”
Headquartered in Vancouver, Wildpack operates indirectly through its wholly-owned subsidiaries and out of facilities in Baltimore, Maryland; Atlanta, Georgia; Longmont, Colorado; Sacramento, California; and Las Vegas, Nevada.

In July, Wildpack acquired Georgia-based CraftPac, and in August, Colorado-headquartered Vertical Distilling. Both areas are central geographic targets as the company works on a solution to integrate the fragmented mid-market beverage space, according to a press release earlier this month.
Since launching, Wildpack has acquired four companies, and Chief Growth Officer Thomas Walker said mergers and acquisitions are part of its business model as it strives to scale.
“As we continue to scale, we expect on-going acceleration in our ability to effectively assess, acquire and integrate new facilities in a number of jurisdictions,” Walker said in the release.
