Helene Andersson will return to Delphi on January 17, 2022. It will then be just over ten years since she worked as a lawyer at the firm. During this time, Helene has had a very successful academic career. She defended her dissertation, Dawn Raids under Challenge, which deals with dawn raids in competition cases from a due process perspective, at Stockholm University in 2017. That year, she received a grant from the Swedish Competition Authority which allowed her to carry out another major research project, examining the rules surrounding access to the European Commission’s cartel case files.
The project resulted in her book Access and Cartel Cases – Ensuring Effective Competition Law Enforcement which was published, along with a revised version of her PhD thesis, by the Oxford-based publisher Hart Publishing. Both titles have received excellent reviews by international law journals.
Helene is currently based at Uppsala University, where she is managing a research project funded by the Nasdaq Nordic Foundation. The project concerns the EU Market Abuse Regulation and its rules on insider trading and unlawful disclosure of inside information. The project addresses the due process concerns associated with the increasingly strict legislation within this area. Helene will complete the research project this fall, before returning to Delphi in January where she will join the EU and competition team.
