EU: Lenaerts re-elected as President of the Court of Justice along side six new members
Mr Koen Lenaerts was re-elected on Thursday, October 11, by his peers to serve as President of the Court of Justice of the European Union for the period from October 9, 2018, to October 6, 2021.
The European Court of Justice also announced six new Members: Ms Lucia Serena Rossi, who replaces Mr Antonio Tizzano; Mr Irmantas Jarukaitis, who replaces Mr Egidijus Jarašiūnas; Mr Peter George Xuereb, who replaces Mr Anthony Borg Barthet; and Mr Nuno José Cardoso da Silva Piçarra, who replaces Mr José Luís da Cruz Vilaça, were appointed as Judges of the Court of Justice for the period from October 7, 2018 to October 6, 2024.
