Brazil: CADE puts breaks on alleged transit cartels

Brazil’s antitrust regulator CADE announced dawn raids of 13 companies alleged to have conspired to rig bids for metro construction contracts. And train buyout tenders The regulator said Tuesday it launched a probe into the companies after evaluating evidence suggesting the firms formed a cartel. The regulator also announced leniency to those that cooperate with the investigation. CADE is collaborating with the nation’s police force on the case, named Operation Cross-Line.
