US: Guilty plea to be entered for charges at Sheriff’s Office

A guilty plea is in the cards for a purchasing director arraigned in a bid-rigging scheme, his lawyer said Monday. John Sens has been accused of the offense concerning his position at the Orleans Parish Sherriff’s Office in New Orleans. Sens did, however, plead not guilty to the charge of conspiracy to commit bribery. According to reports, accusations claim that Sens, along with another man, took bribes when dealing contracts for construction, maintenance and electrical work at the Sherriff’s Office. Sens resigned from the position in February.
