US: Texas think tank warns against state involvement in national antitrust issues
A Texas think tank has released a report that suggests competition is at risk from the increased involvement of state attorneys general in interstate antitrust cases. The Texas Public Policy Foundation said that there may be “significant negative consequences” to competition and innovation from the involvement of state authorities in national antitrust issues; its report warned that interstate commerce regulation is a national concern and not one for state attorneys general. The report is entitled “Protecting Innovation, The Role of State Attorneys General in Antitrust Enforcement.”
