Apple loses part of its AppleCare appeal in Italy

Apple lost part of its appeal in the Italian AppleCare case. Apple was fined 900,000 euros in December 2011 for encouraging customers to buy its two-year technical support and extended warranty service, AppleCare. However, under Italian law, companies are required to offer two years of technical support for purchases of products. As a result of losing the appeal, Apple must change the way it explains AppleCare on its Italian sales website.
