Since 2001 Dr. Bardong has served in different functions at Bundeskartellamt (German competition authority), Bonn. Currently, he's head of section merger control policy in general policy department (since 2008). One of his tasks is to represent BKartA in the EU Merger Working Group (where BKartA is currently a vice chair besides Ireland und the EU Commission). 1997-2001 associate at two international law firms in Brussels, Belgium. Education: LL.M., University of Michigan Law School. Doctorate in law, University of Saarland.
