Caio Mario da Silva Pereira Neto
Caio Mario S. Pereira Neto is a Professor at FGV Law School (São Paulo – Brazil). He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of São Paulo, as well as Masters (LL.M.) and Doctorate (J.S.D.) degrees from Yale Law School (USA). He is the author of several articles, published in Brazil and abroad and he has spoken widely in national and international forums on antitrust and regulation. He was a visiting professor at the University of Florida and a visiting researcher at the King’s College London. Dr. Pereira Neto co-heads the competition and regulation groups at Pereira Neto | Macedo | Rocco (PNM). His competition practice includes cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, merger review and compliance, with large experience in multi-jurisdiction matters. In public service, Dr. Pereira Neto held office as Director for Competition at the Secretariat of Economic Law of the Ministry of Justice (SDE). During his term in office, he also integrated governmental committees and working groups in infrastructure sectors under privatization and intense regulatory change. His regulatory practice includes advising clients in several regulated sectors (including telecom, transport, energy, health and financial services), regulatory litigation, as well as compliance work. He is also very active on regulatory and antitrust issues in technology industries.
