Cheng Liu
Mr. Liu joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2010. Prior to this Mr. Liu worked in DLA Piper’s Beijing office. Mr. Liu has previously worked in-house as a Greater China Legal Counsel at BASF (China) Co., Ltd., where he was responsible for trade, investment, antitrust and commercial contract among others. He also practiced at King & Spalding LLP’s Washington office and another PRC firm in Beijing. Mr. Liu Cheng is highly recognized and has recently authored publications including "Still Unclear Path Forward – Resale Price Maintenance under the AML and Recommendations for Companies", "Non-compete clause in JV Contracts An Analysis from the Perspective of the PRC Anti-monopoly Law", "Will your future joint venture or M&A deals be affected by China's Anti-Monopoly Law?", "A Business Guide to China's Antimonopoly Law", "Legislative Note: China's Antimonopoly Law", etc. Mr. Liu received LL.M. degrees from the University of International Business and Economics and New York University School of Law. He is admitted to both the PRC bar and New York State bar.
