Not to be outdone by Instacart, DoorDash is also promising 30-minute delivery from major grocers. Nine months after the grocery aggregator debuted its half-hour delivery option with a range of popular brands, DoorDash announced the launch of express grocery delivery in partnership with Albertsons Companies.

Building on its strategy from recent quarters, Walmart continues to leverage its scale to offer lower prices than competitors, using food inflation as a tailwind rather than headwind. The retailer, already the world’s largest grocer by a considerable margin, gained share in the category in the fourth quarter of its 2022 fiscal year.

Autonomous convenience store startup Boxy has raised $28.4 million, fueling its plans to expand across its home country of France. The Series A funding round was led by new investor Serena, and there was participation from historical investors CapHorn and LocalGlobe as well as angel investors.
