Car IQ and Verra Mobility Partner on Toll Payment Suite 

Car IQ has partnered with Verra Mobility to provide its fleet customers with a complete toll payment suite. 

By partnering with Verra Mobility, which provides toll management and smart mobility technology solutions, Car IQ will expand beyond fuel and parking payments, Car IQ said in a Tuesday (Dec. 6) press release. 

“Working with Verra Mobility allows us to provide fleets with a single solution for all payment types,” Car IQ CEO Sterling Pratz said in the release. “Our collaboration with Verra Mobility enhances our payment suite to improve and streamline the tolling experience for our partners while offering bundled mobility payment services along with nationwide fuel and parking that is currently available through Car IQ Pay today.” 

With this combination, fleets can seamlessly connect with tolling solutions and paying without using a credit or debit card, according to the press release. 

Fleets that do not usually use tollways will be protected from toll violations by having their license plates registered nationally will toll agencies and managing the on-time, direct payment of tolls, the release said. 

In addition, Car IQ Pay fleets will have a billing platform that facilitates payments of multiple types of services supporting the fleet’s back-end accounting systems, per the release. 

“We are delighted to be partnering with Car IQ to enable more commercial fleets direct access to toll roads, reducing toll violations, simplifying vehicle transactions and providing an innovative approach to better manage the total cost of fleet ownership,” Verra Mobility Executive Vice President of Commercial Services Steve Lalla said in the release. 

Car IQ is all about using the power of technology to automate fleet management, Pratz told PYMNTS’ Karen Webster in an interview posted in May 2021. 

“The fleet guys really like the product,” Pratz said. “In fact, most of them were asking, ‘How soon can I get it? When can I start connecting my cars?’”
