Amazon.com and Embracer Group, a Swedish game developer, have announced their partnership to create and release a massively multiplayer online game centered on the popular fantasy series “The Lord of the Rings”, as stated on Monday.
The companies have announced that they are developing a game set in Middle-earth, featuring stories from J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” literary trilogy. The game is currently in the early stages of development.
The demand for MMO games with high player capacity increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and has remained steady.
