Brazil: First female general superintendent nomiee leaves CADE
Amanda Athayde, who for a brief moment was nominated for Cade’s general superintendent position, has left Cade. She will be joining the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office for CADE (MPF/CADE). In this new position, she will keep working directly with competition law at CADE and will also be part of the regional public prosecutor Márcio Barra Lima’s team for the Operation Greenfield task force.
The move comes three months after his nomination for the position of Cade’s general superintendent was withdrawn before being considered by the Senate.
Se holds a law degree from the Federal University of Bahia, a specialization in Defense of Competition from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and a Master’s Degree in Business Law from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, located in Madrid.
