Colombia: Prosecutor questions former deputy superintendent over irregularities
Jorge Enrique Sánchez, former deputy superintendent for Free Competition at Colombia´s Superintendence for Industry and Commerce (SIC), was summoned for questioning on February 1 following a complaint filed by the Tecnoglass company after having been involved in an investigation into the resale of tickets for World Cup 2018 qualifiers. The complaint filed by lawyer Jaime Lombana also named the then Superintendent of Industry and Commerce, Pablo Felipe Robledo, and seven of its officials.
According to Tecnoglass, the SIC was never able to corroborate its research hypothesis that they or some of its related companies were behind “the head of the resale of tickets for the Russia 2018 match”.
