Compass Lexecon has announced the inauguration of its Lisbon office as part of its ongoing expansion strategy in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
The new office will be led by Senior Vice President Helder Vasconcelos, a distinguished economist with over two decades of experience in competition policy and regulation, both in the private and public sectors. Vasconcelos brings a wealth of expertise to his role, having advised a wide range of clients on competition and antitrust matters.
Jorge Padilla, Chair of the EMEA practice at Compass Lexecon, expressed his enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “Our ambition to have a Lisbon office led by a top-class local team is now a reality.” He emphasized Vasconcelos and his team’s role as trusted advisors to Portuguese law firms, corporate entities, and regulatory clients.
Kirsten Edwards-Warren, Co-Head of Compass Lexecon EMEA, underscored the strategic importance of the Lisbon office in driving business growth in Portugal and Brazil, and expressed her confidence in the office’s ability to thrive under Vasnoncelos’ leadership.
