Michael Holzhäuser will move from DLA Piper to Ashurst, but the date of the change is not yet certain. The 44-year-old will initially be the only antitrust lawyer for the firm in Frankfurt, but there is a cartel law team in Munich under partner Ute Zinsmeister.
Holzhäuser advises in German and European competition and antitrust law and represents his clients before the antitrust authorities and courts. His focus is on international merger control procedures, investigations, antitrust defense and damages.
Dr. Tobias Krug, managing partner of the German Ashurst offices, describes Holzhauser’s move as an important step. “Against the background of the sharp rise in antitrust investigations and antitrust litigation, it was strategically logical for us to step up here.”
