Israel: 4G joint venture planned just weeks after announcement

Just weeks after wireless operators Cellcom and Pelephone announced plans for a proposed joint venture, reports say the companies have already inked an agreement in principle for a 4G network services deal.

    The Israel-based wireless firms plan to evenly divide the cost of establishing a joint, 4G network, including costs of implementation and infrastructure.

    An agreement has yet to be made on how the companies plan to split the cost for 4G connection to existing infrastructure, however.

    The deal remains subject to the clearance of both the Antitrust Authority and the Ministry of Communications.
