Paul Hastings has added to its global antitrust and anti-corruption practice and European competition practice, hiring Camille Paulhac, a senior associate at Allen & Overy, as a partner.
Paulhac, who joins from Allen & Overy, has extensive experience in competition law and assists major French and international groups before the French and European competition authorities and the courts. He has developed extensive expertise in merger control, abuse of dominant position, cartels and indemnity actions. He regularly handles multi-jurisdictional cases.
“We are delighted to welcome Camille Paulhac, whose reputation, technical skills, and entrepreneurial approach add to our existing expertise in complex competition matters and further strengthen and support our Paris M&A and private equity teams,” said Olivier Vermeulen, chair of the Paris office. “He is the fourth partner to join the office in the past year, which is a sign of strong growth and the success of our Paris and European strategy,” he added.
Camille Paulhac commented: “I am very pleased to join Paul Hastings’ Competition & European Law team in Paris and to work closely with Pierre Kirch and the entire Paul Hastings network. Paul Hastings is a fast growing and highly regarded law firm. Joining the firm is a great opportunity to strengthen a leading practice within the Paris office and to meet our clients’ needs.”
Paul Hastings’ European Competition & Law team in Paris and Brussels has extensive experience, particularly in the context of merger control operations. The team advises both listed and unlisted industrial companies, banks, financial institutions and investment funds. As an integral part of the global Paul Hastings practice, the team also has significant experience in cross-border operations.
