On Thursday, September 27, Latham & Watkins announced that Elizabeth Prewitt has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation & Trial Department and member of the Global Antitrust & Competition Practice. She focuses on international cartel and antitrust matters.
Prior to transitioning to private practice in 2015, Prewitt spent 16 years as a trial lawyer in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice (DOJ). She served as Assistant Chief of the Antitrust Division in the New York office from 2012 to 2014.
Amanda Reeves, Co-Chair of the Global Antitrust & Competition Practice, noted, “Latham’s practice is second to none globally and can handle any competition challenge our clients may face – from merger clearance and state aid, to civil litigation through trial, to cartel enforcement and antitrust investigations. The experience and inside knowledge that Liz brings to the table from her 16 years of government service in particular further solidifies Latham’s status among the top echelon of truly global antitrust groups that can offer best-in-class counsel to companies around the world as they address their most complex antitrust and competition law challenges.”
