Lewis Brisbois has hired Washington, DC antitrust lawyer Katherine I. Funk as a partner in its Antitrust & Competition Practice. Ms. Funk will open up the Washington, DC office of the law firm on February 1st, as co-managing partner alongside Todd R. Seelman, managing partner of Lewis Brisbois’ Denver office, and chair of both Lewis Brisbois’ Antitrust & Competition Practice and its Government Investigations Practice.
For more than 20 years, Ms. Funk has been a trusted advisor to corporate executives and in-house legal departments, successfully navigating antitrust and business issues on behalf of clients in a range of industries. She has participated in over 100 transactions requiring review by the Department of Justice or Federal Trade Commission.
In addition to major transactions work, Ms. Funk also provides day-to-day business counsel on matters including distribution arrangements, the Robinson-Patman Act, licensing agreements, and global corporate compliance.
“Lewis Brisbois has terrific antitrust credentials nationally and I’m excited to officially bring the firm into the D.C. market,” said Ms. Funk.
