Vinson & Elkins announced on Thursday that Adam Hudes has become a new partner in their antitrust litigation practice in Washington.
Hudes, a new addition to Vinson’s team from Mayer Brown, specializes in handling intricate antitrust and commercial disputes. Her expertise includes representing defendants involved in both merger and non-merger antitrust investigations, as well as antitrust litigation.
The firm stated that he represents companies in litigation related to unfair trade practices and gray goods.

“Adam’s first-chair trial ability and substantive knowledge are great additions to our already strong team,” said Hill Welford, Co-Head of Vinson & Elkins’ Antitrust practice. “Antitrust remains a very active area and we expect it to remain so for the foreseeable future, so it makes sense to continue to grow our group. Adam helps us assure clients that we can handle antitrust cases of any size and complexity.”
Hudes joins a growing antitrust practice where Vinson & Elkins has attracted several key lateral hires in the past 10 months.
