“Take exactly as prescribed.” It’s sensible advice from professionals we’ve come to trust — pharmacists — as they dispense the medications that make us well and keep us that way.
As these things go, this edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps isn’t terribly thrilling, although there are one or two changes that may throw you.
That’s why we take our medication exactly as prescribed. We do the same with rankings.
Trust us. We have a degree around here somewhere.
The Top Five
So good that they haven’t budged in months, it’s still the GoodRx app at No. 1.
Likewise, SingleCare – Rx Coupons sticks at No. 2.
Here’s a good one: The RxSaver Prescription Discounts hops up one chart position to take No. 3.
Another interesting development at No. 4, as the Publix Pharmacy vaults two spots back into the top five to land at No. 4. That’s some move.
The CVS Caremark app falls two chart positions, but stays in the top five at No. 5.
The Top 10
Down a spot and falling out of the top five this cycle, it’s the Express Scripts app at No. 6.
Steady at No. 7 it’s OptumRx, unchanged.
Same story at No. 8, with the RxLocal app holding its place without difficulty.
The Kroger Rx Savings Club app — KrogerRxSC for short — is up a spot at No. 9.
We love newcomers, especially when they’re clever. So, it is with the warmth associated with PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps that we welcome the Clever Rx app to the top 10, entering at No. 10.
Stay tuned. Next month, it could be your app making it to these rankings.
