The PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps will help you find an app that can cure what ails you. If you’re looking for discounts, convenience or a better overall experience, you can find them among these apps.
Each month, PYMNTS assigns prescription apps a score based on a mixture of app usage data and publicly available information. Among the highlights this time is another perfect score attained by the reigning champion, and a three-spot gain in the rankings by this month’s top mover and shaker.
The Top 5
Topping the list again is GoodRx. This app earns its place at the top with another perfect score of 100.
Next up is SingleCare. With a score of 90, this app holds on to the second spot in the rankings. It’s also added three points to its score since last month.
There’s a familiar name at No. 3, as well: CVS Caremark sits here as it did last month, this time with a score of 73.
Our first change in the rankings this month comes at No. 4, and what a change it is — OptumRX has leapt three spots in the rankings. With a score of 67, it has added 11 points since last time, making it this month’s top mover and shaker.
Bumped out of the position it held last time, RxSaver now sits at the fifth spot in the rankings with a score of 59.
The Top 10
Just one point behind the competitor ahead of it is Express Scripts. With a score of 58, this app continues to maintain the No. 6 spot it held last month.
Two points behind that is Publix Pharmacy. This app has slipped two spots in the rankings from last time and now sits at No. 7 with a score of 56.
Returning in the eighth position in the rankings is RxLocal. It checks in this time with a score of 49.
Next up is ScriptSave, which has gained a position since last month and now rests at No. 9 with a score of 41.
Swapping places with the competitor that’s now ahead of it is Kroger Rx Savings Club. This app is just one point behind with a score of 40 — and it rounds out the top 10.
