AVIA has launched a marketplace designed to help hospitals, health systems and digital health companies discover and select digital solutions.
The healthcare digital transformation firm said in a Thursday (Jan. 19) press release that the new AVIA Marketplace matches these buyers with vendors that can help them with their digital transformation.
“Vendor selection has long been frustrating, stressful and time-consuming, and AVIA Marketplace takes the risk out of the process so that health system executives can move at speed and with confidence in their decisions,” AVIA Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Solutions Dhiraj Patkar said in the release.
PYMNTS research has found that consumers are interested in expanded capabilities for the digital platforms they use for healthcare-related needs.
Healthcare is joining the long list of industries in which the economy’s digital shift has taken hold, and consumers are eagerly gravitating toward the products and services that increase convenience and help them access services and treatment, according to “Healthcare in the Digital Age: Consumers See Unified Platforms as Key to Better Health,” a PYMNTS and Lynx collaboration.
There are opportunities for the adoption of digital solutions on the B2B side of the healthcare industry as well.
For example, automation of payment and invoicing processes can grant both healthcare organizations and their suppliers better speed and predictability of payments, increased protection of sensitive patient data, more accurate invoicing and payment status, and other benefits, according to the “B2B Payments in Healthcare Tracker®,” a PYMNTS and American Express collaboration.
The new AVIA Marketplace is designed to help hospitals and health systems make informed decisions by consolidating information and creating a one-stop shop for vendor selection, according to the press release.
The platform offers buyers access to product comparisons, match scores, market insights and detailed product reports, and enables them to tailor searches based upon electronic medical records (EMR) integration, organization size and other parameters, the release said.
“AVIA has always been hyper-focused on enabling health systems to achieve digital transformation with greater speed, discipline and impact, and we are glad to be able to expand upon our mission to foster a vibrant digital health ecosystem,” Patkar said in the release.
