With talk of vaccines taking up everyone’s time, let us not forget the often-vilified Big Pharma sector and the creative app developers who spend their nights coding so we can take our meds.
We can all agree the world is a better place when we take our meds — or I do — which brings us right readily to the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps. This latest update is a doozy.
Maybe take those meds now, because here we go.
The Top 5
Not much to report at the tip-top as GoodRx – Save On Prescriptions saves its own place at No. 1, with SingleCare – Rx Coupons still at No. 2 and, for the trifecta, RxSaver Prescription Discounts stays put at No. 3.
That’s about it for “where we left it last time.”
Climbing two chart positions to land at No. 4 this month is the Publix Pharmacy app, catapulting grocery pharmacy into the Top 5 for the first time. Finishing out the Top 5 for this Provider Ranking of Prescription Appsis OptumRx, falling one spot but staying in top contention.
The Top 10
Moving on, CVS Caremark drops a spot to alight at No. 6 in the new ranking, even as the Express Scripts pharmacy benefit management app hustles it up one spot to No. 7. That gain came at the expense of KrogerRxSC, the grocery giant’s Rx app, which moves down to No. 8.
At No. 9 is the RxLocal app holding down that same real estate for another update.
Then, for something unexpected, we welcome someone new to PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps: it’s the Clever Rx app, entering the Top 10 at No. 10.
