Square’s New CFO is Former Salesforce SVP Sarah Friar

Square has hired Sarah Friar to lead the company as its chief financial officer. Friar is the former Senior Vice President, Finance & Strategy, at Salesforce, and spent ten years with Goldman Sachs in its corporate finance division.

    Friar’s addition marks the fourth time recently that Square was able to add talent with recent experience at other notable firms, including Alyssa Cutright, from PayPal, as its new VP International; Jesse Dorogusker, from Apple, as its new VP Hardware; and Ricardo Reyes, from Tesla, as its new VP Communications and Brand Marketing.

    The company has more than 300 employees, and is processing $6 billion in annualized payments, a release says.
