Truckin Digital added an integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online to its enterprise resource planning (ERP) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud solution for trucking companies.

By combining with Intuit’s online accounting software, Truckin Digital offers a connection between dispatch operations and financial management that eliminates the need for duplicate data entry and reduces the risk of errors, the company said in a Monday (July 15) press release.

“With real-time synchronization between the Truckin Digital ERP and QuickBooks, customers can optimize their financial management processes and focus on delivering exceptional service,” Truckin Digital President Al Ceric said in the release.

Together with the automatic transfer of data between Truckin Digital and QuickBooks, the integration provides instant access to financial reports and dashboards that carriers and brokers can use to enable better decision-making and strategic planning, according to the release.

It also streamlines receivables and payables, simplifying the process with automated invoicing, billing and payment tracking, the release said.

The new integration complements the Truckin Digital platform’s existing capabilities that facilitate planning, dispatch, safety and compliance, accounting and other needs of transportation companies, per the release.

“This integration aligns with Truckin Digital’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that simplify operations and drive business growth,” Ceric said in the release.

The PYMNTS Intelligence report “Generation Instant: How Truckers Use Instant Payments to Support Their Lifestyles” found that instant payments are appealing to truck drivers and present a viable solution to the challenges they face. Speed, the guarantee of goods funds and convenience are key factors driving truckers’ preference for instant payments.

In another development in the trucking industry, TreviPay said in June that it will provide B2B payments and invoicing solutions to a new program offered by HDA Truck Pride, an independent provider of parts and services to the commercial vehicle aftermarket.

In March, Iron Sheepdog raised $10 million to expand its broker/contractor-focused trucking technology solution that aims to bring greater transparency and reliability to “a traditionally disparate industry.”

Iron Sheepdog’s solution includes GPS tracking, real-time analytics tools, digital ticketing, automated invoicing and reporting.
