International warehouse club operator PriceSmart reported that its total revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2021 increased 3.4 percent. The California-based company reported 92 cents per diluted share in net income attributable to the company on $937.6 million of total revenues. PriceSmart had 47 warehouse clubs in operation as of Feb. 28, 2021.

Services have varied starting prices, but prices begin at $99 for two hours for a furniture assembly booking. The news comes on the heels of Angie’s List rebranding to Angi.

Levi Strauss, the apparel company, sees its first-half sales rebounding 25 percent and intends to open new stores to benefit from a “commercial real estate tsunami” that has brought about record-high mall vacancy rates. Both the top and bottom line results came out above analysts’ and the company’s expectations. Levi’s CEO Chip Bergh said the firm “started the year strong.”
UPS Seeks Faster, Greener Package Delivery, Orders ‘Electric Vertical Takeoff’ Aircraft
A new order collaboration between UPS and Beta Technologies will bring a minimum of 10 — and potentially as many as 150 — electric-powered vertical takeoff aircraft into the package delivery company’s fleet beginning in 2024. “These new aircraft will create operational efficiencies in our business, open possibilities for new services, and serve as a foundation for future solutions to reduce the emissions profile of our air and ground operation,” UPS Chief Information and Engineering Officer Juan Perez said in a press statement.
