Digital gift marketplace 1-800-Flowers.com is helping Valentine’s Day shoppers find “The Way to Wow” that special someone this year with new floral arrangements, immersive experiences and enhancements to the shopping experience, the company announced Thursday (Jan. 20).
1-800-Flowers expects to deliver about 23 million stems across the U.S. for Valentine’s Day, the second-largest holiday for flower-related gift-giving.
“More than anything, Valentine’s Day is about celebrating the important relationships in our lives,” Tom Hartnett, group president of consumer floral and gifts, said in the company announcement. “Identifying new and creative solutions to help our customers express, connect and celebrate on Valentine’s Day is something our team is passionate about and has been working on all year long.”
1-800-Flowers plans to deliver about 15 million roses this Valentine’s Day through more than 90 rose products, including the Pitcher Perfect 18 Stem Red Rose Bouquet, Enchanted Rose Medley Bouquet and Kaleidoscope Roses, as well as the Magnificent Roses preserved rose collection.
The company also teamed up with astrology app Sanctuary to create floral bouquet collections that are perfect for each astrological sign.
Per the release, 1-800-Flowers has floral subscriptions that make it easy to send “heartfelt reminders of love” throughout the year, offering about 40 arrangements that can be sent at various intervals, ranging from every week to every eight weeks. Customers can also use buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider Klarna to spread their payments out over time.
Thanks to the company’s acquisition of Alice’s Table earlier this month, 1-800-Flowers will also offer virtual floral arrangement classes from Feb. 10-26.
