Employees who select Chime for direct deposit will also gain access to the company’s suite of financial tools, including fee-free banking, high-yield savings, early pay and credit-building tools, according to the release.
These capabilities are enabled by an expanded partnership between Chime and Workday, and an integration of Chime through Workday’s Enhanced Direct Deposit (EDD) experience, per the release.
“By making Chime easier to choose inside Workday, we’re removing a barrier between getting paid and getting ahead,” Bill Gartland, vice president of Chime Enterprise, said in the release. “Together, we’re helping employees make more of their pay and giving employers another way to support the financial well-being of their employees at no cost.”
The expanded partnership complements Chime’s role as the Strategic Financial Wellness Partner for Workday Wellness, a partnership that enables employers to offer Chime Workplace and its financial wellness tools at no cost to the employer or its employees, according to the release.
“With Workday’s Enhanced Direct Deposit experience, we want to give employees real options for how they manage their pay,” Meraj Mohammad, senior director of strategic partnerships at Workday, said in the release. “Our expanded partnership with Chime makes it easier for employees to connect their pay with tools that support their financial well-being, directly within the platform where they already manage their pay and benefits.”
Chime and Workday announced in August 2025 that they had formed a partnership that included the integration of the Chime Workplace suite of financial wellness solutions into the Workday Wellness employee benefits platform.
Chime reported in August that during the most recent quarter, its revenue rose 27% year over year to $670 million, driven by a combination of more active members, greater payments activity and higher platform revenue tied to products such as MyPay and Instant Loans. Chime said it expects to add 1.8 million active members this year, up from its original target of 1.4 million.
