Accounts receivable (AR) automation and integrated business-to-business (B2B) payments firm Billtrust has appointed Marco Eeman as managing director of its European operations.
Eeman was a principal of Order2Cash, a Netherlands-based order-to-cash platform provider that was acquired by Billtrust in February, according to a Tuesday (Sept. 13) press release.
In his new position, Eeman will focus on profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction, per the release.
“Marco shares our vision of making the digital transformation of accounts receivable fast and simple in order to drive efficiency across the entire AR process spectrum,” Billtrust President Steve Pinado said in the release. “I am confident his leadership of our growing team in Europe, strong SaaS [software as a service] technology background, deep understanding of invoice complexity and compliance and product development expertise can immediately impact our operations and growth strategy.”
As PYMNTS reported in February, Billtrust’s acquisition of Order2Cash gave the company a stronger global presence and the ability to expand its Business Payment Network.
A month earlier, Billtrust had announced it had surpassed $1 billion in supplier invoices delivered to accounts payable (AP) portals in 2021, saying it was the company’s largest single-year total.

The appointment of Eeman comes at a time when Billtrust is expanding globally, and Pinado said at the time of the acquisition of Order2Cash that it is doing so with companies that offer complementary expertise, shared values and local market presence.
Billtrust serves 750 customers through its European operations, and its Business Payments Network works with 70 B2B and business-to-government (B2G) networks, the release stated.
