Toast IQ Team also includes a newly enhanced MyToast employee app, a Tips Manager that automates tip pool calculations and provides digital receipts, a Payroll Benefits tool that enables operators to offer health insurance and 401(k) plans integrated directly with payroll, Timekeeping in Toast POS that helps operators monitor early clock-ins and shift end times, and Payroll Success Partners human payroll support, per the release.
The launch of Toast IQ Team is part of Toast’s Fall Release, which also includes an expansion of the company’s complete marketing solution, Toast IQ Grow; the addition of a Menu Agent, an Answering Agent and Toast IQ Configurable Agents; the addition of Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Québec French languages; the addition of a fuel operations and payments tool called Toast Fuel; and the addition of saved payment and ticketing capabilities to Toast Tables, according to the release.
“The enhancements to Toast IQ Grow are engineered to attract more guests to an operator’s front door and keep them coming back, while Toast IQ Team is designed to start tackling back-office work that comes with that growth,” Toast Chief Product Officer Mike Miller said in the release. “Toast is building agentic solutions that deliver real outcomes.”
Toast CEO Aman Narang said in August that during the second quarter, the company had a record 9,500 net location adds, which was 1,000 more than its previous high.
“Our core business continues to scale,” Narang said during an earnings call. “Our new markets are growing rapidly, and we’re reinventing our platform with AI to agents and software, working together to drive real business outcomes for customers.”
Toast debuted Toast Fuel on Sept. 29, saying it gives gas station and convenience store operators a single and connected platform for in-store and at-the-pump fuel payments as well as retail and food service.
