“Our organization chose to become part of Volaris because we believe it is a perfect fit for Metafile,” said Sprau. “This change will benefit our customers and employees and brings us a multitude of opportunities simply not available on our own, including access to capital, talent and operational expertise, and synergies with other similarly situated companies.”

In related news, PYMNTS previously reported earlier this month that Nexelus recently rolled out apworks.ai, a cloud-based solution.
The product, according to the company, addresses the manual practice and high costs of AP processing by using artificial intelligence (AI) to automate and simplify the process.
The service is based on the Amazon tech stack and works on letting companies process media, production and overhead vendor invoices without much human interaction.
The company touts it as an “easy to use” dashboard that guides customers through the invoice process from beginning to end.
Some of the features include rules-based approval and routing configuration along with direct emails, which lets people email invoices straight to the system. Seamless integration is also possible, which allows the solution to be built into any Nexelus product offering—without having to make it have separate vendor and employee listings.
