Nordstrom has opened a pop-up partnership with footwear brand Dr. Martens on the New York City store’s revolving Center Stage, allowing customers to shop from a limited-release collection of 30 products through Nov. 7.
Dr. Martens’ classic Merino and Collier styles are exclusive to Nordstrom through Nov. 1 as part of the collaboration, and the brand’s newest AW21 pieces will also be available.
Nordstrom’s in-store Center Stage features a music venue that includes trusses, stage lighting, graffitied furniture and live performances. New York City band Sunflower Bean will play a live show on Friday (Oct. 15) at 7 p.m. on the first floor of Nordstrom NYC. The show will also be live-streamed on Nordstrom’s and Dr. Martens’ social media channels.
“Dr. Martens and Nordstrom have a long history as partners in the U.S. and Canadian markets, and this year our brands have come together to build an even stronger partnership as the momentum in 2021 continues to grow,” Lisa Kim, vice president of Dr. Martens wholesale, said in the joint announcement.
Nordstrom will also bring elements of the Dr. Martens pop-up and an extended merchandise selection to several other locations, including four stores in California, one in Utah and one in Oregon.
“Dr. Martens is proud to launch our Nordstrom Center Stage collaboration, celebrating our strengthened brand presence and creating a special Dr. Martens experience to further our consumer connection in Nordstrom NYC,” Kim said.
