Blockchain company GigLabs has debuted an app to help Shopify Plus merchants design and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on their Shopify storefront, according to a Wednesday (Dec. 15) press release.
The GigLabs NFT App is available in the Shopify App Store and enables retailers to create and sell NFTs on the Flow blockchain within minutes, according to the announcement. Flow has more than 2 million accounts, more than 17 million individual NFTs and more than 10 million secondary market NFT sale transactions, according to the press release.
“The next evolution for eCommerce is NFTs, and the GigLabs NFT App in the Shopify App Store allows select businesses to quickly and easily offer NFTs to their consumers,” said GigLabs Chief Product Officer and Co-founder Brian Burns. “We partnered with BreakingT and Infinite Objects as early adopters to help spec out and test our app, and now both companies are able to seamlessly integrate NFTs within their existing Shopify stores as our first customers.”
BreakingT and Infinite Objects are the first companies to debut NFTs using the GigLabs app.
The GigLabs app is the latest innovation designed for Shopify merchants. Earlier this week, Tapcart, a mobile app provider for more than 20,000 Shopify companies, launched an integration with Talkable to provide online retailers with referral programs within their mobile apps.
