Silicon Valley-based FinTech EvoShare, which was founded by Ukrainian natives, launched its Aid Ukraine initiative Thursday (March 17), offering customers a way to donate a percentage of their cash-back points earned to support the Ukrainian humanitarian effort.
According to the press release, EvoShare has also waived membership fees for new members looking to support the cause. New members will have the option to opt-in to the Aid Ukraine feature when registering.
“We’re pulling together to make it possible for EvoShare members to help our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine,” EvoShare Chief Technology Officer Dan Tseytlonok said in the release. “We first developed EvoShare over a decade ago to help the everyday person save for their future, with the new feature we can expand our helping hand even further.”

According to a report from the New York Times, the company is collecting boots, socks, gloves and thermal underwear to be sent to Ukrainians.
In other news, Meta Platforms — the parent company of Facebook — has encouraged users to help people in Ukraine by donating or starting a fundraiser on its website.

Furthermore, PayPal said Thursday that it is expanding its money services to better support Ukrainians and ongoing humanitarian efforts.

Additionally, Paypal’s international remittance service Xoom will waive transaction fees for payments sent to Ukrainian residents. Users will also be able to transfer funds from PayPal Wallet to eligible Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards.
