As food ordering apps jockey for consumer spending, the top dogs continue to hold off the competition.
Using a proprietary combination of publicly available information plus app usage data to which PYMNTS has access, the May edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Aggregators shows which top players know how to maintain their lead and which are beginning to slip.
The Top Five
DoorDash continued its reign No. 1, maxing out at 100 points.
Plus, Uber Eats and Deliveroo held onto their silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Similarly, Instacart held steady at No. 4 and Just Eat at No. 5, closing out the top five.
The Top 10
Swiggy leapt up from No. 9 to No. 6, where it is tied with last month’s sixth place pick Zomato.
Grubhub held fast at No. 7 and Glovo at No. 8.
Where last month SkipTheDishes was stuck in a three-way tie for No. 9, this month it is the sole ninth place aggregator.
Closing out the top 10 is Menulog, which fell from its ninth-place spot last month.
